Potion Review: Acorelle – Land of Cedar Perfume

PRODUCT: Acorelle – Eau de Perfume, Land of Cedar

I love earthy scents, and cedar may well be my favorite.

Many mornings I’ll dab essential oil on to my wrists and skip perfume all together.

However, the scent of essential oils tends to fade within a few hours, which leaves something to be desired.

Over the last year or two I’ve begun to explore longer lasting alternatives, trying various cedar scented fragrances to see if I can find one that I like.

I purchased this fragrance from Acorelle, a few months ago and generally use it a couple times a week, and haven’t yet run out.

When I first applied it, I found the alcohols in it to smell quite strong, but this dissipated after a few moments.

The scent that was left behind was decidedly cedar, but the bergamot, peach, citrus, and ginger notes in it make it smell lighter and more feminine compared to what I’d expected.

It certainly smells very pleasant and uplifting – I can see it being useful in aromatherapy, as well.

Land of Cedar has more lasting power than essential oil alone, but it doesn’t stick around for as long as I’d like.
Overall, this fragrance smells quite lovely and would be perfect for someone who enjoys that kind of scent – but is a bit too sweet for me.

I’ll keep it in my arsenal and use it up but I’m definitely still looking.
