Shea Moisture is a product line I’ve read tons of rave reviews about, but never tried myself.
Curly-haired bloggers have sung the products praises all over the internet, and so I suppose I’m a bit late to the party, but better late than never.
I’l start off by saying that my locks are both bleached, and curly – which means they are perpetually thirsty.
I usually just blow-dry my bangs and leave my hair natural – and what I’ve learned over the past two years or so is that the right product can make the difference between hydrated, luscious curls, and parched frizz.
This styling milk is a products that absolutely makes a huge difference in the texture and strength of my hair – it smells really nice (sweet, yes, but most other mousses and sprays reek in comparison) and leaves my curls touchable and well defined.
It may bit a little thick for curly girls with thinner hair, but mine doesn’t mind the extra weight of the product at all – it helps keep it under control.
Typically my hair needs a lot of product so yet another thing that I appreciate about this stuff is that a little goes a long, long way.
I’ve been using a generous amount after a shower, as well as a little bit for touch-ups in the morning between washes, and occasionally in the evening, and the bottle shows no sign of running out.
I don’t think I’ve been a product-evangelist like this since I discovered the original Moroccan Oil back in middle school.
I actually wound up storing away nearly all my other styling products aside from the Kendi Oil that I use and a spray bottle filled with good old fashioned H20 – between those three things my hair looks better than it ever has!
This product is a home-run for me, and I look forward to trying their other products in the future.
