This collection is perfect for warmer weather – each fragrance is uniquely inspired by some of my favorite hooved woodland creatures!
TYPE: PERFUME (COLLECTION)
SEASON: SUMMER 2017
HERBS: LIME, MYRRH, VETIVER + VANILLA, SANDALWOOD, SPRUCE + ORANGE, YLANG YLANG, BLACK PEPPER
USES: PERFUME, AROMATHERAPY.
As my essential oil collection has grown, I’ve begun developing an interest in not only what different aromas pair well together, and how they interact, but what fragrances may function harmoniously.
Going forward I hope to continue to write about single blends I have made in more depth, but these three I felt so successful, especially in terms of pairing them together on a given day or week to set a different mood for various occasions, I couldn’t wait to share them together.
I’m also exploring a bit of a different a format for presenting fragrance information when speaking to multiple blends simultaneously – let me know what you think!
HERBS: LIME, VETIVER, VANILLA MYRRH
SUMMARY: The invigorating scents lime and vetiver plays over a delicate and sensual background of vanilla and myrrh.
WHEN TO WEAR IT: During the day, when you need a pick me up to improve focus or renew your sense of purpose.
HERBS: SANDALWOOD, VANILLA, GARDENIA, SPRUCE
SUMMARY: Vanilla and gardenia blend together to form a powdery, feminine aroma and are accented by the refreshing smell of spruce over a base of exotic and earthy sandalwood.
WHEN TO WEAR IT: In the morning or whenever the sun shines when you’re looking to smell pretty or looking to slow down and take and calming breather.
HERBS: ORANGE, YLANG YLANG, BLACK PEPPER, CEDARWOOD, ROSEWOOD
SUMMARY: Orange and ylang ylang are a classic combination bright yet sexy when paired together. The combination of black pepper, cedarwood, and rosewood ground this scent and make it musky yet playful.
WHEN TO WEAR IT: In the evening, on nights out on the town or sunset-illuminated dinners – or whenever you need to stoke your inner fine.
I’m still in the process of tinkering with oil ratios, but I think that if I start selling these fragrances, these three may be among some of the first that I offer.
