I find that teas are a great way to satisfy cravings my body may have for certain vitamins and minerals, as well as a great way to unwind.
Most of the blends I experiment with are an effort to achieve this. Often I prefer teas that are rich, bitter, and full bodied in taste – basically, anything with nettles.
However, in the summer a rich, astringent, diuretic brew may be a bit much.
Especially on hot summer nights, I find myself yearning for something that is light and easily drinkable, but also nourishing and calming.
This simple tea not only provides various nutrients for your body and mind, but tastes absolutely delicious.
The violet leaf is an underutilized herb that is full of vitamins and minerals to fortify the body, especially A & C, and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Oat tops are known for nourishing the nervous system – perfect for replenishing yourself if you suffer from stress or anxiety.
The blackberry leaf provides additional nutrients, and the linden flower helps to relax and combat stress.
This delicious blend is what’s occupied my mugs most evenings, and will for the foreseeable future.
