TYPE: UNDER-EYE SERUM
HERBS: EVENING PRIMROSE, CYPRESS, ROSEMARY, BERGAMOT.
USES: BRIGHTEN UNDER EYES, SOFTEN DARK CIRCLES.
No under-eye serums I’ve found make up for a lack of sleep, and a lot of the ones I’ve yet to try have ingredients that make me shy away from them.
After reading about different essential oils and plant extracts that promote blood-flow and tighten skin around the face, and learning that evening primrose oil can improve circulation, I created a blend of my own to see what I could achieve.
This combination I’ve found tends to brighten dark circles when I’m feeling particularly drained.
I don’t usually see instant dramatic results from it, but usually after a few days of repeated application I get what I’m looking for from it.
I think I’ll tweak the formula in the future after what I use up what I have, but it was nice to get results from an at home remedy of my own invention.
I put it in a roll on bottle and rub gently a few times under each of my eyes for best results. Let sit for fifteen minutes and apply makeup over – or apply and leave on before sleep.
Any oil with a citrus component like bergamot can be photosensitive so be conscious of this on bright days before wearing out!
