BASICS: TINCTURE // TEA | DETOXIFYING, CLEANSING
HERBS: ST. JOHN’S WORT, DANDELION, ECHINACEA, YELLOW DOCK, BURDOCK, GINGER, ASTRAGULUS, NETTLE|| LEMONGRASS, RED CLOVER, CHRYSANTHEMUM, PEPPERMINT, NETTLE, ORANGE.
The start of the year is a good time to start fresh – this can include not only starting to integrate new habits into your life, but also cleansing your body.
There are plenty of herbs that can help with this process – and Tamed Wild’s detox tea and tincture blend have helped me to do just that.
I started subscribing to their monthly herbal boxes for some inspiration for my own blends, and have not been disappointed so far!
The tea and tincture included in this first one were definitely the highlight for me.
The tea really is a powerhouse of detoxifying ingredients – maybe my favorite tasting blend I’ve tried so far with dandelion – it pairs really exceptionally with orange peel and peppermint.
Chrysanthemum was a new herb for me to research, and that was pretty exciting as well.
The tincture I think I’ll reserve for the day after a late night out when I need a reboot – herbs like St. John’s wort in particular are very powerful and I only use them in moderation.
However, the ginger tincture pairs really well with the other root flavors, making them more palatable – I’m definitely going to make some to use in my own blends in the future!
