Potion Review: Flower Power Rhodiola Adaptogen Power Tincture

PRODUCT: FLOWER POWER RHODIOLA ADAPTOGEN TINCTURE
BASICS:  | $28.00 / 2 oz | HERBAL REMEDY
HERBS: RHODIOLA ROOT, HAWTHORNE BERRY, CINNAMON, LICORICE ROOT

Flower Power is the herb shop most convenient to me – so when I need to restock on something basic I can almost always count on them to have it.

On a recent trip, I noticed this on the shelf – I have a pure rhodiola tincture at home, but to be honest, the taste makes it hard to swallow.

Some tinctures are far more palatable than others – chaga and schisandra are two that I personally find quite delicious.

Some I find neutral tasting, like ashwaganda, and others, particularly roots, are downright bitter – like valerian or rhodiola.

I noticed in their blend they mixed it with nicer tasting herbs (with synergistic benefits, of course) like licorice and cinnamon.

The mix contained brandy and maple syrup as well – I have been meaning to integrate rhodiola into my life, and I figured their formulation would definitely be more palatable.

Not only was I right to trust them, but I’m also inspired to tweak tincture blends of my own, using different spirits and sweetening agents like maple syrup and honey.
